Optical Engineering and Analysis

  • Develop alignment and test plans for free space optical communication terminals and systems
  • Aligning and building optical systems from prototype to final product
  • Design, build and qualify test equipment for optical performance measurement of components, modules, sub-assemblies, and full optical communication systems
  • Create test plans for component and system validation.
  • Work with vendors for development and qualification of custom optical components
  • Testing, verification, and validation

Optical Pointing

  • Development, testing, and analysis of high fidelity optical pointing devices and algorithms for optical communication payload systems
  • Development of test systems for continuous integration automated report generation and failure mode and effects analysis
  • Interfacing with software avionics optics mechanical electrical ground terminal and other teams to support requirements flow-down and systems integration
